Antonia Wrap Around Shrug, Curvy Edition 3

Thanks to the input of you lovely hookers, I have discovered an error in my original formula of this pattern. The pattern now reflects corrections. If you accessed this pattern prior to January 31, 2015, you should reprint or resave this updated version. Plus, I’ve added sizes 4x and 5x.

I have several requests to offer some additional sizing options for this pattern. The public gets what the public wants — especially this group of exceptional crochet junkies. And as a woman that has to buy extra curvy styles to fit all this lusciousness into a pair of jeans, I always appreciate designers that accommodate varying shapes and sizes.

This time I’ll even include this nifty infographic to demonstrate a few ways to wear the shrug. Keep in mind, these aren’t the only options! Get creative and have fun with how you decide to wear this versatile accessory.

***PLEASE NOTE, THIS PATTERN HAS NOT BEEN TESTED. YOUR INPUT ON SIZE AND FIT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED IN ORDER TO ENSURE THIS PATTERN’S ACCURACY***

This pattern is written in US terms. It is worked in two pieces, beginning at one shoulder across to end of opposite sleeve. The second sleeve is worked by joining at base of the foundation row and worked in the opposite direction. This helps insure uniformity with the sleeves. Sizes are given for 1X, 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X with changes in parenthesis 1X (2X, 3X, 4X, 5X).

All sizes are based on standards provided by the Craft Yarn Council. http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/womansize.html

when ytou fold and slip stitch intofirst sc to begin rounds…this confuses me as im not sure which way to fold it or how to line things up… any pics or templates available?

      Courtney,

Fold it so that the first stitch meets the last stitch of the row just completed. This will be a short side of the work. You basically keep working along the same direction, but now you are working in a round instead of working flat (back and forth). Hope this helps.
